Humor is a funny thing
This article is going to be about something that I am still clumsy with but enjoy using it, any way. It makes me more me.
It’s also like a vital connective glue between people that helps in transcending empathy and build a top-notch rapport. Don’t you think?

Humor is an attitude, don’t force it: Unlike the loud, obnoxious laughter exploding from punching-down on people with poor jokes, good humor invites happiness. Happy fosters happy. You can have fun without forcing it — because forceful ‘funny’ hurts; more for the person on the receiving end. Merry humor could open you up towards merry-making relationships.
Humor fuels the creative grey cells: Many-a-times, the humor brain tends to generate the “A-ha!” moment from the “Ha-ha”. It is a creative process that fuels itself from the bliss of innovating something new, fresh and quirky. If used correctly, it can help in diffusing uncomfortable situations.
Humor tugs the like: This is a given. When you share a similar wavelength of appropriate humor with your fellow human beings, it builds something really warm and inviting. It cements relationships and also promotes memory-retention. It’s more likely that people will remember how you made them feel than what you said.
Humor is an essential people skill you can have: I’ve pulled incredibly bad jokes more than once but what it has helped me is to open up positive communication channels with new folks. And we need more such channels! It’s like an emotional cable; the electricity makes ideas and communication flow.
Organizations, teams, colleagues, that laugh together tend to more productive. (That’s right.) This makes people considerably stress-free. I stress on that. Making the culture happy, not crappy should be an organizational imperative.
Funny helps you stand apart: Good sense of humor makes you feel Heard — not one of the Herd. If a brand/company can laugh at itself (without hurting its reputation of course), it adds a human dimension towards its intangibility.
Hilarity becomes you: This is especially true in crafts like speaking and writing. It aids in lowering our defenses so that people listen. Listen with intent and relatability. And learn, learn more about each other and be more humane.
On an ending note, humor is not about making jokes that rival the likes of comedians. It’s about seeing the lighter side of living and reveling in it.
Life can be ironic, and that can be fun and funny. It’s worth the effort to find the humor in life, and in everything and anything in between.
